Fred Wright ---How many times did Fred shout"it's my ball" for only to completely miss it. Too many to mention. And he still plays on a Saturday!!!!!!!
Wayne Morton----Wayne has bored many people with his tales of scoring great goals for Abingdon United. They must have been playing with very big goals as the only people worried about his shots was Kev's dad whose car was hit on multiple occasions.
Colin Shields--reinforced his position as the enforcer of the side. Made his mark by taking out Cumnor's players' player of the season with a strong tackle. Any complaints from the boys were met with possible arrest warrants.
Sean Hoskin-- never left an area 10 yards square on the right hand side of the pitch. He must believe that you play in that position and you are not allowed to deviate from that position. I think he should stick to cycling---in other words you won't be selected for the next game.
Glenn Ford---Very much a Gareth Bale style player. Controlled the right hand side of the field. Unlucky not to score but he could not shoot straight.
Colin Jacques----Poor in goal but scored our first goal. Overall he was not very good. Why is Robbie a good player?
Neil Grantham--I have missed most great football moments: England winning the World Cup, Man United winning the Champions league in 2009. But, seeing Neil rise to glance a great header against the bar was amazing. What was more amazing was that he forgot that he wore glasses. The ball hit the bar but his glasses hit the net-what a goal!
Dave Field-----There is a big problem with any player when he decides that dress code is more important than anything else. Wearing some lovely shoes is not a recipe for success. Next year, if selected, he will wear some suitable footwear.
Kev Betteridge-If only Kev played for West Ham they would not be relegated. His vision is second to none. Scott Parker-I would rather have Kev. What I mean, is that West Ham next year will only have enough money for Kev.
Suzanne Williams--player of the game. She made a mockery of the Cumnor attack. Controlled the defence with great skill. Only blemish was to miss a penalty.
Fred's Brother---very static. Never moved that much. Could have scored but didn't.
John Thorne--What can we say! On Wednesday night, he played Bar football, where he is tied to a bar with the rest of the team. Obviously, no-one told John that he could move today. Slow, very slow and totally rubbish were words used to describe John--and that was from Callum.
Callum--great performance and could of scored but Bradley saved well. Better than his dad.
Ollie Morton-A great performance. Did physically attack some of the opposition.
A great season. Next year, we will win everything. We have the best team in the league and some new great players will be coming to Cumnor.
Next game is against the Oxford Mail Rep side on the 26th May at The Closes. KO 7.00
