BRADLEY HITS FOUR AS CUMNOR MAKE THE NEXT ROUND OF THE CUP

Thatcham Town Harriers were our opponents in the first round of the B&B Cup.
After the 10 man heroics of last week we actually had a substitute today. With Harri and Alex back for our next games we will nearly be back to full strength. Tim has his pins out next week and will be back after Xmas. Luke W is still under trial at Oxford.
Cumnor started well with Bradley full of energy. It was little surprise, when Bradley opened the scoring. It was a great goal. He controlled the ball and with his back facing away from the goal he kicked the ball over his head into the net. It was 1-0.
Thatcham started to explore attacking options. Kieren as ever made his presence felt with some great tackles. Robbie had to make a save from a shot from distance. Adam was making his presence felt on the left. He linked up with the ever impressive Joe. A interchange of passes between them set up Bradley who made it 2-0 with a great shot.
Supposedly Stuart, Bradley's dad had offered a financial incentive for a hat-trick. A great move between Shaun and Luke T set up Bradley who made it 3-o.
The best move of the first half involved a couple of passes between Freddie,Bradley and Shaun which released Fraser who made no mistake with a great finish.
The first half finished 4-0.
Luke W came on for Luke T. Luke T had suffered an injury and was rested for the second half.
Thatcham came out fighting in the second half. They started to pressure the Cumnor defence. Wrighty had to make a couple of great tackles. Luke W was starting to stamp his presence on the game. Adam was having a great game. Luke and Adam linked up in the middle of the park.
Shaun was keen to score and he eventually scored with a lovely shot. Cumnor were playing some great football.
Another great move involving Luke, Fraser and Jordi ended up with Jordi firing a shot at goal from 30 yards. It just went over the bar.
Freddie made it 6 after Bradley had released him.
Bradley made it 7 with a great finish. Luke scored a fantastic goal from an impossible angle to make it 8.
The referee blew his whistle for full time.

CUMNOR MINORS 8 THATCHAM TOWN HARRIERS 0

A great performance from Cumnor. Some of the football was fantastic. It was a pleasure to watch. Thatcham competed well but we excelled on the day. They were great opponents and played the game in a sporting fashion.
Next Sunday we will have a deserved break. Training will continue during half term.
