Cumnor started the game. They played the ball all the way back to Robbie. He fired a great ball deep into the Didcot half. Shaun controlled the ball. The ball found Freddie. He passed to Fraser who passed the ball to Freddie. He turned and knocked the ball into the net. It was 1-0. What a start.
Any thought of an easy game was destroyed by Didcots reaction. They attacked with strength. Alex had to be quick to stop a Didcot attack. Robbie made a great interception to stop a possible goal. When the goal came it was not a surprise. Jack controlled the ball and fired in a great shot to make it 1-1.
Cumnor reacted strongly. Luke made a trade mark tackle in midfield. He gave it to Freddie. He passed it to Fraser. He glided past the defender and finished with a great shot. It was 2-1.
At this stage Cumnor looked for the next goal. Jordi had pushed himself forward and had 3 shots on goal in about as many minutes.
At this stage Sam was injured. He was taken off and Ross was dragged back into the defence. This allowed Cumnor to control midfield. the third goal came from a Harri corner. A great corner was met by Bradley but it was cleared to Luke. He smashed the ball into the net. It finished 3-1 at half time.
In the second half, Didcot tried to come into the game. Wrighty was immense at the back. He stopped most attacks and had the tenacity to get into midfield and start up attacks. From one such attack Harri made it 4. The ball was lifted towards the Didcot goalie. As the goalie and defender went for the ball, Harri jumped in and lifted the ball into the net.
Tim had to make a great save as Didcot tried to come into the game. Kieren, yet again having a great game, made a great clearance. Fraser found Freddie. He passed to Bradley. He took a couple of touches and then placed the ball into the net. What a goal! Best goal of the game.
Mark and Adam linked up well to set up Adam. His shot just went passed the post.
Robbie added energy to the midfield but Cumnor were happy to see out proceedings to the final whistle.

A great result. Bloxham beat Newbury 3-1. Draw or win against Bloxham will give us the league next week. Then we play Wantage[or Newbury] in the cup final.
