CUMNOR SECURE SECOND PLACE

Quarry were our opponents in the second last game of the season. Victory would give us second place. The sun was shining and Cumnor got of to the best possible start with a goal in the first minute. A through ball from Fraser found Shaun. He turned but was brought down. It was a penalty. Wrighty took the penalty and gave the goalie no chance. It was 1-0.
It was soon 2 -0 as a great move involving Joe and Freddie saw Declan released. He slipped the ball past the goalie.
Luke broke up a Quarry attack. He passed the ball to Kieren. He fired the ball forward. Bradley won the ball and passed to Joe. Joe made it 3 with a great strike.
A great shot from Bradley hit the bar and then the goal line. It was then cleared.
A loose ball skimmed across the goal line. It was saved just as Jordi came racing in to score.
Robbie made an important stop to keep the score at 3-0.
In the second half, Quarry looked more dangerous. Tim made a great save but was injured in the process.
Alex made a great through ball to Fraser but he could not finish.
Wrighty made it 4 with a great free-kick. Quarry made it 4-1 with a great strike.
The best goal was a glancing header from Joe.
It finished at 5-0.
